With our indispensable advocacy work we can continue to support and serve our local community by:
- Providing food and drinks to front line responders such as volunteer fire fighters and other emergency service proeple during a natural disaster.
- Lobbying governments - Local, State and Federal - for improvements and ultimately change.
- Offering a range of bursaries to assist secondary and tertiary students continue their studies.
- Delivering practical and financial support through our Public Rural Crisis Fund.
- Supporting local community groups, small business and not for profit organisations such as Orange Sky, Chan ces, Hight School Breakfast Club, Sarina Hospital (crisis bags and trauma teddies), Aged Care Facility.
- Participating with the programs by facilitating meetings, seminars and events, involving speakers and professionals linked to the programs building awareness within our community.
- Lending a hand wherever needed, whether it's knitting bonnets for premature babies, sending resources to defence personnel serving overseas or catering for a funeral - the QCWA Sarina Branch Ladies are there.
