The Queensland Country Women’s Association is the state’s most widespread and largest women’s group, with thousands of members and over 220 branches, across our cities and in our remote communities.

Since 1922, the QCWA has been about women from all over Queensland coming together for many different reasons, whether it is about meeting new people, making new friends, learning new skills or getting involved in the community.

Our vision is simple: together, in friendship, we enrich the lives of women through diverse opportunities.

This is achieved by advocating and providing opportunities for women centred around education, health and community throughout every phase of a woman’s life.

We are an active community of women who, together, improve the lives of people living in regional, rural and remote Queensland.

We are mums, grandmothers, single or married; we are women employed in the home or in the workforce; we are just like you.

It doesn’t matter where you live; there’s a way for you to join in the fun, join in the activities and feel connected to other women.

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP

Branch Membership 

The QCWA is very diverse in its activities, with each branch’s activities driven by the unique interests of the branch members in their local community.

There are over 220 Branches across Queensland. Some focus on business networking or traditional handcraft and cookery. Some focus on volunteering and fundraising in their local communities, while others are more about making personal connections and friendships.

To start your application to become a Branch Member simply select either a 1 year, 3 year or 5 year Branch Membership level and follow the prompts to join and pay online.  Join Us

Branch Member Benefits:  Join Us

• Members are any women over the age of 18 years and who attend Branch meetings regularly.
• Branch Members can volunteer to become Country Kitchens Facilitators and learn how to conduct activities within their communities, alongside the Country Kitchens team and Branch Facilitators.
• Opportunity to attend State Conference, Region Conferences, International Study Conferences.
• Attend State Conference as an observer or voting delegate.
• Receive full voting rights at Branch, Region Conferences and International Study Conference.
• Receive discounts on selected QCWA accommodation.
• Receive the QCWA Express Newsletter.
• Access to resources in the Members only section of the QCWA website.
• Attend QCWA functions, events and workshops.

Supporter Membership - Join here

• Supporters are Members who are female over 18 years of age who wish to support the Association in a financial manner.
• Supporter Members can volunteer to become Country Kitchens Facilitators and learn how to conduct activities within their communities, alongside the Country Kitchens team and Branch Facilitators.
• Supporters  receive discounts on selected QCWA Accommodation and are eligible to compete in QCWA contests.
• Supporters receive the Supporter & Friend electronic newsletter.
• Can participate in functions, events and workshops such as skills training.
• Can attend meetings as an observer.

Friends of QCWA Membership – Join here 

• Friends are Members who are male over 18 years of age who wish to support the Association in a financial manner.

Associate Membership 

For young women under 18 years of age the QCWA offers Associate Membership. It is a great way for young women to become involved with the Association and learn about the activities and opportunities membership offers.  The Associate membership application form must be signed by a parent or guardian of the applicant. Apply using the form below.
