What’s great about it:
Popcorn is a great snack to enjoy with an afternoon movie or served as is or with nuts and seeds. However, the popcorn we typically associate with the monthly trip to the cinema’s is high in saturated fat and salt. For a healthy snack give this flavoured popcorn recipe a go.
Serves 6 | Prep time 1 minute| Cook time 5 minutes
1/4 cup un-popped corn
1/8 teaspoon cumin
1/8 teaspoon coriander, dried
1/8 teaspoon curry powder
You will need a brown paper bag
PLACE the unpopped corn into the brown paper bag and fold the top over twice to seal in the corn.
PLACE in a microwave on high for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes, or until you hear pauses of about 2 seconds between pops.
ALLOW to stand for 20 seconds and then carefully open the bag and pour into a bowl.
SPRINKLE with cumin, coriander and curry powder and toss before serving.
