MOGILL BRANCH

Moggill Branch was established in South Coast Division in 2003. From the original 25 members the branch has grown to be almost 100 members. Members range in age from 25 to in their 80's and are from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities. They enjoy friendship and a strong sense of community in the semi-rurla part of Brisbane.

The Branch holds a monthly Branch meeting on the 3rd Thursday of each month, they also hold special social nights which include a meal and a guest speaker. Interest groups include patchwork & handcraft; a history group which is researching pioneer families of moggill (the information is used by the memory quilters to honour these families with a commemorative quilt); drama; choir; Mah Jong; Bridge; and a cookery group.

BUNDABERG BRANCH

Located in Quay Street next to the RSL and are open most weekdays. Bundaberg Branch was formed 85 years ago and has continued to be a respected organisation within the Bundaberg and wider community.

The Branch has a very active Handcraft Group that meets every Thursday mornings with qualified Handcraft Teachers always available. A Piecemakers group meets the 1st Thursday afternoon of each month.

Branch members contribute to Birthing Kits for countries without basic facilities for births, tolietry bags contaving necessities for those in need in emergencies of any kind. They also have a small choir that meets every Tuesday afternoons, and performs at various functions when invited.

Bundaberg Branch International Day is to be held Wednesday 23 June 2010 from 9.30am with morning tea, various entertainment and an Irish Lunchfest. For further information contact Edna Buck 07 4151 7210

 

CHARTERS TOWERS BRANCH

Charters Towers Branch is in Northern Division. The Branch has 23 members and holds activities ranging from country markets, cooking, craft and home produce to building management, development of young women and community welfare.

They also have a newly established Younger Set. They are happy to welcome visitors and have agreat website detailing their Branch and activities.
